Prepare a spreadsheet copy
Starter templates and initial transaction imports are included in free Level 1 when customer uploads are enabled. Upload through your own case and wait for the operator to run file checks. Follow the availability and limits shown in your account; uploading alone does not add transactions.
Start with the transaction template
Download Excel template | Download CSV template | Completed sample (CSV)
The templates are blank; the example is separate and contains synthetic transactions only. Keep the first-row headers: Date, Description, Amount, Currency, Transaction Reference. You can reorder columns. Capitalization and spaces around header names do not matter. Use one worksheet per file, with no extra columns or summary totals.
- Keep your original statements and other evidence unchanged. Complete a separate template as your prepared transaction summary.
- Enter one transaction per row. Description is required (up to 120 characters). Dates accept US MM/DD/YYYY (09/15/2026) or YYYY-MM-DD (2026-09-15). Slash dates mean month/day/year; review the normalized date before confirming. Leave unknown dates, amounts, currencies or references blank.
- Enter amounts without currency symbols, commas or formulas. Use the native unit: 250 USD differs from 250 BTC. Up to 18 decimal places are supported. Record outgoing payments only as positive amounts. Refunds and negative amounts are not supported. No totals or exchange conversions are calculated.
- Use USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, BTC, ETH, USDT or USDC. If another currency is needed, leave Currency blank and identify it in Description. Preserve leading zeros and long transaction references (up to 240 characters).
- Save a completed copy as XLSX or UTF-8 comma-separated CSV, then upload it in your case. File checks wait for the operator to run the manual worker.
- Open Review spreadsheet rows. Review the transaction table, correct flagged fields, select the rows you want, and check the confirmation before saving. Nothing is added automatically.
Keeping dates and amounts exact
The Excel template uses text-formatted entry cells to avoid rounding precise crypto amounts or changing identifiers. Enter dates as MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD text. When pasting, use values only and compare with the original. Excel or a CSV editor can still change dates or long numbers; check the saved copy. Numeric Excel date serials, two-digit years and unsupported formats are flagged for correction rather than guessed.
Unknown values stay unknown; an empty amount is not zero. The review table accepts corrections without changing the uploaded file. Your current corrections and selections are not saved as a draft if you leave the page. For smaller sets, open your case and choose Enter several transactions. Type or paste individual values into up to 20 rows; blank rows are skipped. No file or scanner is required. These manual entries have no uploaded source attachment.
Entering transactions online
The online form uses the same five fields and supported currencies. Review the completed rows and check the attestation before saving. Rows save individually: if saving stops, rows marked Added remain saved. Retry an uncertain save on the same page to avoid duplicates. Keep the page open until finished; unsaved rows are not stored as drafts. Manually re-entering a transaction in a new form can create a duplicate. Use the individual entry editor for approximate dates or additional details.
Confirming uploaded rows and sharing
Selected rows are saved together: if any selected row cannot be saved, none of that request is added. An uncertain network response offers an identical retry. Already-added rows from the same uploaded file cannot be added twice while their entries exist. A separately uploaded copy is a different source.
Each entry retains its original row, column headers, source filename and fingerprint, and your initial confirmed interpretation. These stay attached when you edit its current description or details. Removing an entry removes its saved source snapshot too. Sources appear in private account downloads and, for authorized operator testing, in case PDF/CSV packages when timeline entries are included. Review them before sharing; they remain user-prepared records, not independently verified payments.
Limits and unsupported features
Case-package PDF/CSV export and full diagnostic source tools remain restricted to authorized operator testing. Ordinary inquiry/group PDF and CSV downloads are separate features.
Template import supports up to 100 transactions per file and one worksheet. A case can hold 100 entries total, including entries already saved. Larger or incomplete previews must be split into smaller files; the template importer does not silently import only the visible portion. Blank rows are ignored.
The file limit is 3 MiB. Preview limits are 101 nonblank rows including the header, 505 cells, 60,000 characters and 80,000 serialized bytes. The operator can expand source details for diagnostics. The original file is unchanged.
Formulas are rejected even when cached results exist. Macros, external links, embedded objects, charts and encrypted files remain unsupported. Do not enable macros or refresh external connections to prepare a copy. Retain the original separately. Legacy XLS, XLSM, JSON and EML are not enabled by this release. Passing file checks does not confirm the truth of the contents; rejection does not establish fraud.
Copying guidance: Excel paste options and Google Sheets paste options. Google Sheets Paste special works within the same spreadsheet; make a separate copy first.
